The Sarnia Police Service continues to receive phone calls from citizens reporting a telephone scam in which the caller states they are from the Canada Revenue Agency. The public is reminded that the Canada Revenue Agency does not conduct business in this manner.
People receiving these calls should report the call to the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre http://www.antifraudcentre-centreantifraude.ca/index-eng.htm or by calling 1-888-495-8501.
Beware of any calls that request money or banking information and relay a sense of urgency to act.
