On October 29, 2015, around 1 P.M., a variety store in the 100 block of North Russell Street was robbed by a male claiming to have a knife. The male fled the area on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash. Police responded to the scene and commenced a search for the suspect.
Shortly after the robbery, a residence in the 400 block of Kathleen Avenue reported a break and enter. During the break and enter, a television was taken.
Investigation linked the same male to the robbery at the variety store.
A 32 year old male suspect was taken into custody while leaving a residence in the 400 block of Kathleen Avenue a short time later. A search warrant was later executed at that address and police recovered the money from the robbery and the television that was taken during the break in.
Edmond Donald MULLEN is charged with robbery, two counts of possession of stolen property, break and enter ,two counts of breaching probation and possession of a controlled substance.
