The Sarnia Police Vice Unit executed a drug search warrant on Thursday October 8, 2015 and charged two males.
At around 5:30 p.m. Vice officers observed the two men leave from a motel in the 1600 block of London Line and a traffic stop was conducted. The passenger in the vehicle, Evan Scouler age 28 years, had an outstanding warrant for his arrest and was taken into custody. A search of the vehicle revealed controlled substances including methamphetamine, marihuana, Fentanyl, a flick knife and an air pistol. The passenger and driver, Michael Walsh also 28 years old, were both charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking and possession. Scouler was also charged for possession of a prohibited weapon.
Officers obtained a search warrant for the motel room and at about 8:30 p.m. conducted a search. During the search of the room officers located drugs including Fentanyl, methamphetamine and marihuana
The total amount of drugs seized in this investigation was as follows:
7 x 100 mcg patches of fentanyl which have an approximate street value of $2,800.00
Crystal methamphetamine which totaled 80 grams with an approximate street value of $9,600.00
One 30 mg hydromorph contin pill which has an approximate street value of $60.00
586 grams of marihuana which has an approximate street value of $5,860.00
The total street value of the drugs seized was $18,320.00.
