The Sarnia Police Service is investigating a theft of a large quantity of carpentry tools.

On Thursday August 27, 2015 a pickup truck containing the tools was parked in a parking lot in the 900 block of Murphy Road. At about 6:50 a.m. surveillance video shows a male park his black Ford Edge car beside the truck. The male then calmly loaded the tools from the truck into his car. It is believed that this same suspect obtained the truck owners address information from documentation in the truck and then went to the truck owner’s home in the 200 block of Elgin Street. Once there it is believed the suspect broke into the garage and stole more tools which the victim uses for his carpentry business.

Some of the items taken include an air compressor, circular saw and a tool belt.
